Theraphy..

.. can be in so many ways.. That's what I learn with Faaeq. We are back and forth to HUKM and Putrajaya Hospital almost every single week for his theraphy sessions and all we learn is to let him play play and play! Play is so important for him in order to learn. Through play, a child learns. Through play, he bonds. Through play, he is happy and content. He has less tantrums and develop more eye contacts. He loves it when I sing him nursery rhymes. Twinkle twinkle little star, especially. Oh how I loooove to see him looks at me and imitates my lips, as though he wants to sing along! I am waiting patiently to THE DAY when he sings along with me. I pray that day will be soon..
A RARE moment when he made eye contacts! Autistic kids have very minimum or almost no eye contact. That's why they have difficulties to learn through others and their environment. They are 'trapped' in their own world. We have to 'enter' their world, then invite them to OUR world. We have to make OUR world a happy place, more happier than theirs, then they'll be interested to come. Simple logic :D

Thanks Sarah. See you again in a moment!

Let the theraphy begin...

syida, u've gone through a lot more than me. i baru nak 'start' je ni.. i've got a whole lot of things to learn for him. to be a better 'therapist' for him! in the process, i've met some wonderful and amazing parents just like u.. keep writing about your experience ok :) and yes, that RARE moments kalau caught on camera, boleh buat 'ubat' time2 bosan kat opis nie.. :D

kak lia, walaupun tak tau nak komen ape, tp akak tulis jugak komen.. thanks for that, i really appreciate it! i'allah semoga kita sama2 jadi ibu terbaik utk anak2 kita, amin..
